About This Site

Home Sauna Equipment Hub covers the gear people actually use to build a heat and recovery routine at home: infrared sauna blankets, portable steam sauna tents, one-person infrared sauna cabins, sauna thermometers and hygrometers, and cold plunge tubs. Every review is written from real use in a real house, with notes on setup, comfort, upkeep and who each product is and is not a good fit for.

Heat and Cold Safety

Heat therapy and cold plunges put real stress on the body. Talk with your doctor before starting, and especially if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, or take medication that affects heart rate, blood pressure or sweating. Never use a sauna or cold plunge after drinking alcohol.

Start with short sessions at lower temperatures and build up slowly. Drink water before and after every session, and get out right away if you feel dizzy, light-headed, nauseated or unwell. Do not fall asleep in a sauna, a sauna blanket or a steam tent, and keep children and pets away from heated equipment.

Electrical safety matters with heated gear. Plug saunas and blankets directly into a properly rated, grounded outlet, never an extension cord or power strip, keep cords and controllers dry, and follow the manufacturer's limits for temperature and session length. Let units cool fully before folding or storing them.

Cold water can cause cold shock and fast breathing. Keep cold plunges short, never plunge alone, and step out if you start shivering hard or lose feeling in your hands or feet. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and no product here is intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition.
